All questions concerning this bid are to reference the project name, the project number and be sent to DPUConstructionBids@columbus.gov. City of Columbus MBE/WBE Program: This project is subject to the requirements of the City's MBE/WBE Program. The MBE/WBE goal assigned to this project is 10.0%. The contract will be awarded to the lowest,responsive, responsible, and best bidder. City certified MBE/WBE firms that submit a bid may be eligible to receive a bid discount of 5% of the bid amount up to a maximum discount of $50,000.00 The Work, in general, consists of the following: 1. Provide all labor, materials, equipment and energy as required to remove, haul, and dispose of residuals and grit from Lagoon 1, Cell A. Residuals shall be disposed of using beneficial reuse outlets in accordance with Section 02 50 00; disposal of residuals to landfills (except for use as cover material) and other non-beneficial end uses shall not be allowed. All materials shall be handled and disposed in accordance with federal, state, and local requirements. 2. Any labor, material, equipment, or apparatus not specifically identified in the contract documents that may be found to be necessary to complete the work in a substantial manner and in compliance with the requirements stated or implied by the specifications or drawings, shall be furnished by the CONTRACTOR without additional compensation.
