In recent years, Norco College has invested time and effort in exploring strategic planning opportunities to embark on student housing initiatives. The intent is to establish a set of strategic goals and objectives that address student basic needs. The proposed student housing project would aim to construct approximately 280 beds for low-income students located on-campus at MVC so that students can establish a community of living and learning. The approximate size of the project would be 42,090 ASF that includes dormitory-style living spaces, shared communal facilities such as restrooms/showers, kitchen, food pantry, recreation, lounge/study areas, and counseling services to the student residents of the facility. As of March 13, 2026, this project is included in the Riverside Community College's 2027-2031 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). Information regarding a design firm and the general contractor selection timeline has not been disclosed. Although a firm timeline for construction has not been determined, construction is not expected to start prior to fiscal year 2029. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
