The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) is an agency within the Texas Health and Human Services (HHS) system. The Procurement and Contracting Services (PCS) division of HHSC administers IFBs for HHS. HHSC PCS is seeking competitive bids to establish contract(s) for inspection and repair of water well #2 at Lufkin State Supported Living Center. Drilling, Plugging, Consulting, Maintenance, Repair, etc. Site- Lufkin State Supported Living Center - 6844 N. US Highway 69, Pollock, TX 75969 Both HHS Agencies, HHSC and DSHS, will be entitled to use any contract awarded as a result of this IFB. To be considered for award, Bidders must submit a comprehensive Response which includes all required information and documentation as outlined in this IFB to ensure the Bidder meets all requirements, possesses the required experience and qualifications, and has the capacity to provide the services described in this IFB. Question Deadline 03/03/2025 at 10:30 AM CT Responses to Questions or Clarifications - Addendum posted on the ESBD March 4, 2025 The required services to be provided are the inspection and disassembling of existing Water Well #2 to determine the cause of mechanical failure and for an assessment to determine and implement the repairs needed to resolve the mechanical failure. Water well liner is 1,280 feet deep and all equipment (pump, motor, etc.) is located at 800 feet deep. Existing pump is a Grundfos, Model # 230S500, Serial No. W01736. Contractor shall remove existing pump equipment from Water Well #2. The equipment shall be disassembled and inspected. After removal of existing pump equipment, Contractor shall perform a camera inspection of the well shaft and report all findings to the Facility. If new equipment is needed, Contractor shall provide new pump equipment, to include but not limited to the following: a) Submersible pump with lift nipple able to provide 225 GPM b) Submersible motor, 50 HP, 460 Volt, 3600 RPM (or equal) c) #2/3C WG submersible motor cable with splice kits d) 4" ductile iron check valves e) 1/4 " stainless steel airline with water level detector kit Upon the completion of the installation of new equipment, Contractor shall provide start up test and collect bacteriological samples for testing. HHS HUB utilization goal is 21.1%.
