Vehicle Garage and Renovation to Existing Structures Project Location: 1025 Deadfall Rd. East, Greenwood, SC 29646 Greenwood County is seeking Request for Proposals for General Contractors Greenwood County is seeking proposals from qualified General Contractors for the design and construction of a vehicle garage and the renovation of two existing structures at 1025 Deadfall Rd. East, Greenwood, SC (Parcel ID # 6857-190-747). The project includes building a single-story garage designed to accommodate ten (10) ambulances and two (2) utility trailers, as well as renovating the two existing structures on the property. This request aims to evaluate the combined qualifications, design plans, and cost proposals of potential contractors to ensure the selection of a partner that best serves the interests of Greenwood County. Proposals will be assessed based on the Selection Guidelines provided in the Request for Proposals. Question Submission Deadline: March 14, 2025, 5:00pm The garage will be constructed at 1025 Deadfall Rd. East and will be a pre-engineered steel building, single story, approximately 100'x60' (6,000 SF). The building should contain room for ten (10) ambulances (with power cables for plugging the units in; 30Amp/location), and two utility trailers which can be a separate attachment off the corner of the building. The interior should also contain a utility closet for spare equipment with a sink for cleaning purposes. Another addition to this project will be a closet to hold oxygen cylinders which will be accessible from both the interior and exterior of the structure. An Infrared Heating unit will be added to the ceiling to compensate for the cold months. The exterior of the structure should have ample lighting for operational safety during peak hours. A generator will be added (natural gas) with all needed equipment which will serve as backup power for the structure in the event of local power outage. The parking lot shall be resurfaced with concrete to include parking spaces. The parking lot shall be 6" thick, 4000 psi rated extended to the complex entry. The building will need to have ten, 12'x12' overhead doors for the entry and exit to the structure and two additional personnel entrance doors with an awning located at the front of the building. A drainage system will need to be considered for washing vehicles on the interior of the structure. The project shall address the particular laws governing the development of this structure in South Carolina, including but not limited to, building codes, Greenwood County zoning ordinances and codes relative to DPH/DES. The Second phase of this project will consist of renovations to the primary and secondary existing structures. This initiative includes the addition of a generator to the primary structure, and the installation of a generator, along with replacement HVAC systems, in the secondary structure. Further information can be obtained in the list of work provided in this RFP. The primary objective of this project is to enhance the functionality, safety, and aesthetic appeal of both structures, ensuring they meet modern standards and effectively serve the community's needs. The successful design/build, and renovation contractor will be responsible for providing Architectural, Structural, and MEP drawings and specifications, as-built drawings, civil site drawings; apply for and obtain all required building permits, tap fees, etc. as may be required. The successful Design/Build/Renovation Contractor will provide insurance and bonds as required and will construct the proposed facility and the associated site improvements in accordance with approved drawings and specifications
