Project Description: Project consists of membrane roof replacement on the gymnasium and metal roof on the 1948 and 2002 buildings where shingles currently exist. Contract Type: Single prime lump sum contract. Stipulations: Bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Base Bid amount proposed, in the form of a certified check or cashier's check made payable to the Owner, or a Bid Bond, must accompany bids. The successful bidder wi l be required to furnish and pay for a satisfactory Performance and Payment Bond in the fu l amount of the contract. The contractor sha l be required to comply with a l provisions of the acts of the General Assembly of the State of I linois related to Wage Rates, Discrimination, Sexual Harassment, Alcohol Use, Preference to Ilinois Workmen, Fair Employment Practices Commission, and Equal Employment Opportunity. The Contractor shal be required to comply with the Substance Abuse Prevention on Public Works Act (Public Act 95-0635). Contractor sha l not pay less than the prevailing rates of wages as determined by the I linois Department of Labor to a l laborers, workmen and mechanics performing work under this contract, and shal comply with the requirements of the Ilinois Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130/1-12). Al Contractor's bonds shal include a provision as wi l guarantee the faithful performance of such prevailing wage clause as provided by this bid specification or contract.
