Site work for a mixed-use development in Three Hills, Alberta. Completed plans call for site work for a municipal facility; road / highway; and water / sewer project.
This project involves the lateral expansion of the existing Class II landfill for the Town of Three Hills, Alberta and aims to meet the increasing waste disposal needs of the Town by construction of the new Cell 7. The expansion is within the footprint of former wastewater lagoons on the west/northwest side of the currently active cells. 1. Earthwork including clearing and stripping of the site, excavation, trenching, grading and backfilling as required. 2. Construction of Cell 7 including subgrade preparation, installation of the composite seepage barrier system, construction of the leachate collection and removal system, and construction of perimeter berms. 3. Stormwater management including grading, construction of stormwater pond to manage runoff, and construction of perimeter ditch to ensure positive drainage away from the cell area. 4. Providing access to the cell through construction of access roads / ramps. 5. Topsoil and seeding of the perimeter berms. 6.
