Cove Road Pump Station Rehabilitation Project Any bids received after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids shall be returned unopened. Bids will be publicly opened, examined and declared on said day and hour, and will be referred to the District Board of Directors for subsequent action. The successful bidder will have three hundred sixty (360) consecutive calendar days to substantially complete the project from the Notice to Proceed. Each bid must conform and be responsive to the invitation, the Plans and Specifications, and all documents comprising the Contract Documents. Each bid shall be presented under sealed cover and shall be accompanied by a certified check or bidder's bond, made payable to the Owner, in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the bid The contract documents that the successful bidder must submit within ten (10) days of notification of award include, but are not limited to, a payment or labor and materials bond in an amount of at least 100 percent of the amount payable by the terms of the project contract and that satisfies the requirements of California Civil Code Section 3248, and a performance bond in an amount of at least 100 percent of the amount payable by the terms of the contract. The Owner reserves the sole right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informality in a bid. No bidder may withdraw its bid for a period of sixty (60) calendar days after the date set for the opening thereof.
