The work is known officially as "The Village of Germantown 2025 Road Improvements Project No. 2502 and shall consist of pulverizing, bituminous milling, and bituminous paving on specified Village roads in the Village of Germantown for the calendar year 2025 in accordance with the requirements of the Public Works & Highway Committee. Major Items of Work Approximate Quantities 32,000 SY-milling 6,750 Ton-asphalt pavement 4,600 sf concrete flatwork 6,350 lf-30 curb & gutter A bidder's qualification statement must be received by the Village of Germantown at least five (5) days before the bid opening date. The proposal form furnished by the Village shall be properly executed by the bidder. Bids shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond or Certified Check payable to the Village of Germantown equal to five percent (5%) of the largest possible total bid or bids, including consideration of alternates. The successful bidder's failure to execute the contract and furnish the performance bond within ten (10) days after the award shall cause the Check or Bid Bond to be forfeited to the Village as liquidated damages (Section 62.15(3), Wisconsin Statutes). The Village reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any minor informality or irregularity in bids received. All proposals shall remain firm and may not be withdrawn for a period of ninety (90) days after the opening date. A. Measurement and payment for all work done in compliance with the Contract Documents (inclusive of all manpower, equipment, materials, and performance of all operations relative to construction of this project) will be made under the Pay Items listed in the Bid Form. Work for which there is not a Pay Item will be considered incidental to the Contract and no additional compensation will be allowed. B. OWNERS reserve the right to increase or decrease quantities of work to be performed including the cancellation of any one or more of the Pay Items. C. The ENGINEER will make measurements and determinations as necessary to classify Work within Pay Items and determine quantities for pay purposes; such decisions will be final after three (3) days if CONTRACTOR does not submit a written notice.
