The City's objective is to CONTRACT with a qualified, competent Contractor to construct approximately 1.8 miles of 5-foot-wide sidewalk. This project is a federal-aid project (FPID 438102-1-58-01). Contractors must adhere to all federal compliance requirements for Federal-Aid projects. The project consists of construction of a 5-foot-wide sidewalk on both sides of Andalusia Boulevard from SR 78 to NE 11th Terrace (see Exhibit A1 - Design Plans). Other components include, but not necessarily limited to, the following: All maintenance of traffic. Notification to public safety departments of work within the right-of-way that would result in detours of emergency vehicles. Driveway slope reconstruction Existing driveway culvert relocation Grading within existing right-of-way. Adjustment of existing utilities valve box cover to match new pavement elevations and replace as needed. Replacement of any existing Striping and Markings Street sweeping, as necessary, & final clean-up of job site and repair of any damage caused by project activities including damage to roadway pavements Relocation and/or replacement of existing mailboxes and street signs Sod placement The scope of work is further defined by project plans/specifications and other related documents listed below.
