All proposals shall be made upon bid blanks furnished by the Platte County Highway Department in a sealed envelope and endorsed:PROPOSAL FOR CORRUGATED METAL CULVERT PIPE. For furnishing corrugated metal pipe and bands to the Platte County Highway Department. This bid will be awarded in accordance with the County Purchasing Act Nebr.Rev. Stat. 23-3101 to 23-1115. All culvert pipe and bands shall conform to the requirements of the current Nebraska Department of Transportation Standard Specifications for Construction, 2017 Edition and all specifications referenced therein and the following Platte County specifications concerning coupling bands.a. Coupling bands shall be at least the minimum length specified and with fullwidth one piece welded lugs.b. Manufacture of lugs shall be such that maximum tightness and seal can be achieved at both ends of the band when bolt pressure is applied.c. Both ends of the band shall be cut in a manner as to produce a downward corrugation at the joint to maximize seal.The corrugated metal culvert pipe and bands shall be paid for at the unit price bid. Compensation for all preparation for work and the cost of delivering said pipe and bands shall be deemed included in the contractors bid. The respective prices bid shall be in full payment for all materials and work required by the specifications. All materials delivered must be in accordance with the specifications, and will at any time and all times are subject to the inspection of the County or its authorized agent.Materials not in accordance with the specifications must be removed and replaced with the proper material at the contractor's expense.Within a reasonable time, not to exceed ten (10)days after the County Board of Supervisors has made awards; the successful bidder shall enter into contract for the performance of all the requirements of these specifications together with all the requirements of the proposal submitted by him. The County Board of Supervisors of Platte County reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Alternative items will be considered.
