The City of Bowdon is requesting proposals from contractors who are qualified to provide grounds/landscape maintenance services at various municipal government locations within the city limits of Bowdon, Georgia. The 1-year contract period would be from May 1, 2025-April 30, 2026. The City and the Contractor may mutually agree to extend the term for an additional year as approved in writing. Services would be delivered on the grounds at various locations within the City of Bowdon including the following: 1. City Hall 2. Watts Park 3.City Cemetery 4. Heritage Park 5. Freedom Park 6.strong Reach Park 7. Barr Park 8. Whatley Park 9. Four (4) Welcome Signs at gateways into the City Limits The contact person with the City of Bowdon for this RFP is City Manager, Jeff Reese. All bidders will be notified by the City of the results. RESERVATION OF CERTAIN RIGHTS The City of Bowdon reserves the right to consider all proposals submitted and to make its final decision based on qualifications of the Contractor, scope of services submitted, price quoted, references and experience. The City reserves the right to reject any and/or all proposals, at their discretion. The City reserves the right to remove maintenance locations and/or add work tasks to the original bid document in an effort to meet budgetary constraints as needed. The City reserves the right to cancel this Contract with 30-day written notice to the Contractor. COMMUNICATION PROHIBITED During the time this RFP is active from the date the RFP is posted until the date the contract is awarded, Bidders are prohibited from having ANY communications regarding this RFP with any person inside the local City government including regular employees, contracted employees and/or elected officials if the communication refers to the RFP and its contents, other than that communication directed to the City's CONTACT PERSON for clarification or direct questions concerning the RFP. A violation of this directive will be grounds for disqualification of the Contractors bid. LIABILITY INSURANCE The approved Contractor must provide proof of liability insurance in the amount not less than $500,000.00 and maintain said liability insurance for the duration of the contract with the city. CITY BUSINESS LICENSE The approved Contractor shall obtain and maintain a current City of Bowdon business license for the duration of this contract. RESPONSIBILITYFOR MEASUREMENTS The Contractor is responsible for visiting the City Sites mentioned in this RFP and for measurements used in the calculation of bid prices. LICENSE AND CERTIFICATIONS The Contractor or their designee is responsible for any and all certification's and licenses required by state or federal law regarding herbicides, fertilizers, transportation of hazardous chemicals, etc. and for compliance to any and all laws regarding same.
