The vessels Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) foam tanks have reached the end of their service life and require an upgrade. This solicitation is for the fabrication and delivery of the tank assemblies, District staff will perform the installation. The foam tank assemblies must be delivered and received by District staff no later than June 20, 2025. After the tanks are inspected and received by the Project Manager. Deliver to 1400 Tidelands Avenue, National City CA 91950. A. Material Specifications: 1. Tank Body Material: 316 Stainless Steel, 0.125" Thickness or 11 Gauge a. Basic Tolerance +/- 0.050" b. Deburr, clean, break edges 0.005"/0.010." 2. Tank Supports: 6061 Aluminum, 2" Square Tubing, 0.125" Wall Thickness a. Ends: 6061 Aluminum, 0.250" Thickness b. Basic Tolerance: +/- 0.050" c. Deburr, clean, break edges 0.005"/0.010." 3. Bracketry: 316 Stainless Steel, 0.1875" Thickness a) Basic Tolerance +/- 0.050" b) Deburr, Clean, Break Edges 0.005"/0.010". 4. Sight Glass: Hydac Brand, 15" Fluid Level Indicator a) Part Number 700095/ fluid level indicator to be installed on the STARBOARD Side tanks ONLY. B. Hardware: All hardware (bolts, nuts, washers, pipe fittings, plugs, etc.) is to be 316 stainless steel. a) Use TEF-GEL between metal mating surfaces and on fastener threads. C. Weld Filler Material: a) All stainless welds to use 316L stainless filler material. b) All aluminum welds to use ER316L filler material. D. Additional Requirements: a) No material substitutions allowed unless approved by the District Project Manager. b) The tanks are to be leak-tested before delivery.
