Encana Field is located at 4911 13 Avenue NW and is the most western of the three artificial turf fields at the Shouldice Athletic Park. The Shouldice Athletic Park is a heavily utilized recreation facility with three artificial turf fields, an assortment of natural turf fields, an arena, and an aquatic centre. In past, the existing fields are typically used between April to October. However, after the successful completion of seasonal air supported structure (dome), this allows year-round utilization for the Encana field. Every spring, tentatively in between March and June, from the date of commencement of the contract, the Supplier must provide a complete takedown/dismantle of the dome and associated components and every following late fall, tentatively in between September and November for the same period. The Supplier must provide a complete erection of the dome and associated components. The Supplier will facilitate the handover and training of City personnel for all aspects of the work including training related to the set-up and take-down, operation, and maintenance of each structure which will be an important component of this contract. The estimated contract period will be 47 month(s), with a proposed start date of 2025/04/25.
