This design-bid-build (DBB) project involves dredging and clearing two sections of Kahauiki Stream at Fort Shafter Flats, Oahu, Hawaii. The scope includes cleaning out two existing concrete culvert drainpipes in one section, with an option to replace one of the culverts. Major work elements include pre-mobilization activities, compliance with environmental requirements, mobilization with setup of temporary construction staging and dewatering areas, dredging of accumulated sediments, and transportation of materials following environmental best management practices. It also includes testing of dredged material prior to upland disposal, transporting dewatered sediments to a PVT landfill for disposal, and demobilization, which involves restoring the temporary construction and dewatering areas to their original condition. The contractor shall begin performance within 7 calendar days and complete it within 335 calendar days.
