2025 Tuckpointing of Congerville Elementary School For the 2025Tuckpointing of Congerville Elementary School located at 310 E Kauffman, Congerville, IL 61729 before 10:00 am(CST) on the 20th day of March, 2025, Project Description: Tuckpointing and sealing Bidders will be required to provide Bid security in the form of a Bid Bond and Performance and Payment Bond. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all offers, and to waive informalities in the bidding. Successful bidders shall conform to the current rules and regulations of the Fair Employment Practices Commission. Contractor shall not pay less than the prevailing rates of wages as determined by the Illinois Department of Labor to all laborers, workers and mechanics performing work under this contract, and shall comply with the requirements of the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130/1-12). SCOPE OF WORK The scope of work includes: • Inspecting existing masonry to identify areas requiring tuckpointing. • Mobilizing equipment and materials to the job site. • Removing deteriorated mortar joints. • Repointing with new mortar matching the existing masonry in composition, color, and texture. • Replacing sealant on all window and door openings. • Repair deteriorated chimney. • Applying a saturation coat of clear, penetrating masonry sealer to all building elevations. • Cleaning and sealing completed work areas. • Cleaning up and demobilizing all equipment and debris. • Complying with all applicable safety and building codes.
