Site work for a water / sewer project in Lanesborough, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The lake is half in the City of Pittsfield and half in the Town of Lanesborough, and the City and Town share the cost and management responsibilities for all lake management tasks, one of which is the macrophyte control program. Costs of lake management are shared equally between the City and the Town. The duration of the contract is for 3 summers, which span 4 fiscal years. The first task of the contract was a macrophyte survey, and it was conducted on May 25, 2025. The Town of Lanesborough, Massachusetts, acting through its Chief Procurement Officer, will receive sealed bids for, Herbicide Treatment of Pontoosuc Lake Estimated Cost for Task 1: $20 ,000.00 per year. Estimated Cost for Task 2: $4,000.00 All Covid protection protocols in place at the time of the bid opening will be in force. Any bids received after the specified time will not be accepted. The Town of Lanesborough's Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids or to waive any informality in the proposing. Also reserved is the right to reject, for cause, any bid in part or whole if it is judged by the Chief Procurement Officer that the best interests of the Town will be served thereby. Attention is called to the "Equal Opportunity Clause" and the standard Federal Equal Employment Opportunity Construction contract specifications. All Contractors will receive consideration without regard to race, color, creed, age, sex, religion, or national origin.
