Reference Number : 0000378269 The City of Fort Lauderdale, Florida (City) is seeking bids from qualified bidders, hereinafter referred to as the Contractor, to provide watermain replacement services for the City's Public Works Department, in accordance with the terms, conditions, and specifications contained in this Invitation to Bid (ITB). This project is located at SE 25th Avenue, from 17th Street Ramp to SE 19th Place (Barbara Drive), in the City of Fort Lauderdale. The work to be accomplished under this contract includes, but is not limited to, pipe bursting approximately 1,100 linear feet of an 8-inch pipe through the existing 6-inch cast iron potable water main, replacing existing water services, adding a new fire hydrant, restoration, and pavement repair. Furnish all labor, equipment and materials to install approximately 1,100 linear feet of new HDPE water main. The project will include but not be limited to installation of the new utility, connection to the existing City water main system, replacement of water services up to the existing water meters, fire hydrants, isolation and air release valves, utility testing, abandonment of existing water mains (if necessary), maintenance of traffic, roadway and site restoration, and all other appurtenances necessary for a complete utility installation. Construction of this project will require close coordination with the City and Engineer B. The work to be performed includes site, civil, mechanical, and structural work associated with the construction of proposed improvements depicted on the Contract Drawings. C. The Contractor shall perform the work in accordance with all permits. D. It is the intent of the City to obtain a complete and working installation under this contract and any items of labor, materials or equipment, which may reasonably be assumed as necessary to accomplish this end, should be supplied whether or not specifically shown on the plans or described herein. Maintenance of the existing utility systems is mandated throughout the construction period.
