Reference Number 0000378561 The City of Gunnison is requesting bids from qualified contractors to delete sewer cleanouts on 11 (eleven) sewer service lines in the Sun Spot neighborhood. The cleanouts are no longer needed and must be removed to improve service line functionality, reduce maintenance issues, and address inflow and infiltration (I&I) concerns. Inflow and infiltration, caused by stormwater and groundwater entering the sewer system through unnecessary openings such as cleanouts, can lead to capacity issues, increased treatment costs, and system inefficiencies. By removing these cleanouts and restoring the service lines, this project aims to enhance the overall performance and reliability of the City's sewer infrastructure. The project is expected to be completed in April 2025 to minimize disruptions and align with the City's operational schedule.
