The goal is to provide patrons and participants with quality finished flooring surface to enhance experiences while participating in recreation classes, activities, and programs. Report damage to Esther Esquivel. o Cover all exposed items to ensure they are not coated with adhesive (i.e. mirrors, baseboards and floor outlets). o Apply adhesive then roll out rubber flooring. o Any adhesive products required for the installation of a proposed flooring system shall be purpose-suited to the system. o The material and application methods shall be as recommended by the adhesive manufacturer. Disposal of adhesive containers and unused adhesives as well as any fees resulting from such disposal shall be the responsibility of the contractor. o Apply contact pressure to the surface with a 100-pound carpet roller or equivalent to eliminating any air bubbles underneath material and make sure the rubber has adhered tightly to the glue. o Seams, edges and joints must be sealed to prevent moisture, water and cleaning solution from reaching subflooring o Custom flooring door transition to separate fitness room flooring from building flooring. o Clean entire surface. Rubber Fitness Flooring Specifications o Commercial Grade Rubber Flooring Roll o Rubber tiles will not be accepted. o Rubber flooring for light commercial or home use will not be accepted o 8mm minimum thickness o Color: Grey with specks of blue 10% Blue/Gray o Glue adhesive application o Tape adhesive application will not be accepted. Minimum flooring requirements: o Spike and dent resistant o Heavy-duty flooring to withstand repeated impact from heavy objects, free weights, moving equipment and normal weight room activities. o Made from high quality rubber o Slip-resistant and non-absorbent o Mold and mildew resistant o Shock absorbent o Noise reduction Vendor Requirements: Below is a list of the specification requirements: o Carefully examine the Scope of work and the required bid response forms o Fully inform themselves of existing conditions and limitations o Include in their bid pricing sufficient to cover all work and guarantee items required by the agreement. o Be responsible for acquiring any clarifications of bid items necessary to complete bid.
