The mandate is to provide the EMSB with an independent labor service for certain electrical work. All work will be performed on demand, on an hourly basis, and supervised by the managers of the Material Resources department. The MSRC will select three (3) service providers on the basis of lowest price. Requests for performance will be awarded to the contractor who submitted the lowest price first, and if the latter refuses the mandate, the request will be awarded to the contractor who submitted the second-lowest price, and so on. If the first contractor cannot fulfill the mandate, the second and/or third contractors will be solicited according to their respective rank. In particular, the contractor must: Supply qualified labor in sufficient quantity; Provide personal protective equipment in compliance with current regulatory requirements; Supply tools and equipment appropriate to the work requested by the MSSC, when required; Provide a cost estimate for minor work for each electrical job requested; Supply the materials required, unless an exception is made by EMSB, to carry out the construction work in which the contractor is involved.
