Maintenance and Repair of Mechanical Equipment at the City of Newark's Water & Sewer Facilities No Bids Will Be Accepted After the Bid Opening Has Commenced. Bids must be prepared and submitted using the standard Proposal Form which is provided in the bid document package. Facsimile transmissions (faxes) will not be accepted. Bids must be accompanied by a bid guarantee in the form of a certified check, bid bond or cashier's check in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total amount bid, but not in excess of $20,000.00, made payable to the order of the City of Newark. The guarantee of the successful bidder will be returned upon execution of the contract. All guarantees of the unsuccessful bidders will be returned upon award of contract to the successful bidder. Instructions Must Be Followed Exactly or the Bid May Be Declared Non-responsive. The right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informality in any bid is reserved if such an action is not detrimental to the interest of the City of Newark. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. (P.L. 1975, c.127) and N.J.A.C. 17:27-1.1 et seq., concerning affirmative action, and any amendment thereto, and P.L. 1977, c. 33, which refers to the statement of corporation ownership. Prior Experience Prior work experience shall be submitted together with the bid proposal. The City of Newark will conduct and broadcast the bid opening in real time at the Water and Sewer Department. Bidders and the public have the option of remotely accessing and viewing the bid opening in real time through Zoom conference call with visual and audio capability.
