The Operations Department of the Cedar Rapids Community School District requests your proposal for goods and/or services. Bids will be evaluated promptly after opening. After an award is made, a bid tabulation summary will be sent to all companies who submitted a bid. Bid results will not be given over the telephone or prior to award. Bids may be withdrawn any time prior to the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids. Do not include Federal or State Tax in costs submitted. The Operations Department and/or Board of Directors reserve the right to reject any and all proposals or any part thereof, and to waive informalities and to enter into such contracts or contracts as shall be deemed in the best interest of the Cedar Rapids Community School District, in the County of Linn, State of Iowa. No emailed or faxed responses will be accepted SCOPE OF WORK ? All work is to conform to the attached specifications. ? Contractor shall verify measurements and quantities provided with this scope of work, all quantities provided are approximate. ? Base bid should include the following abatement of approximately 2,637 SF of VCT, mastic, and base as shown in GREEN on the attached floor plan: o Office 71B - 75 SF o Office 71C - 75 SF o Office 71D - 112 SF o Classroom 115 - 740 SF o Classroom 117 - 745 SF o Office 133 - 370 SF (remove carpet, tile, mastic, and base) o Office 134 - 100 SF (remove carpet, tile, mastic, and base) o Office 135 - 120 SF (remove carpet, tile, mastic, and base) o Office 136 - 120 SF (remove carpet, tile, mastic, and base) o Office 137 - 90 SF (remove carpet, tile, mastic, and base) o Office 138 - 90 SF (remove carpet, tile, mastic, and base) ? Remove vinyl base in locations where flooring is abated. ? File all necessary permits and maintain records in accordance with DNR abatement requirements. ? Coordinate with Hawkeye Environmental related to permits, abatement plans, clearances, etc. ? Protect school property from damage. Any damage by the contractor shall be reported to the project manager and repairs shall be made immediately at the contractor’s expense. ? Perform necessary cleaning at the end of each day (per abatement plan) to ensure a clean and safe work area. ? Contractors may schedule a pre bid meeting with the Construction Project Specialist prior to bidding the project ? Abatement can be performed between June 5, 2025 and June 30, 2025.
