Renovation of a mixed-use development in Detroit, Michigan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a medical facility.

Project entitled Lower-Level Pharmacy Flooring Replacement, project number 553-25-500, furnish all labor, materials, supervision, equipment, and all other necessary resources to fully complete the work identified in the contract specifications and drawings. See Scope of Work and Important Bidder Information starting on page 6 This acquisition is a 100% set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses with the ability to accomplish the work via North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 236220.. Magnitude of Construction: Between $100,000 and $250,000 Place of performance is at the John D. Dingell VA Medical Center, 4646 John R. Street, Detroit, MI 48201. Only Commercial Carriers (Fed Ex, UPS, etc.) will be accepted. US Postal Service is not delivered to the address listed in Block 7. Hand carried sealed bids will be accepted starting one (1) hour before bid opening time. The subject line of the email must read RFI # 36C25025B0023 Project 553-25-500 Lower-Level Pharmacy Flooring Replacement. RFIs related to the project technical documents must be specific identifying section, paragraph and page no. of the specifications or cite the drawing number and must be in question format. RFIs related to the solicitation or other related documents shall refer to the specific provision, clause, etc. All RFIs submitted shall include the solicitation number and title, contractor name, city, state, telephone, email address, date submitted, and the RFI question(s). RFI responses will be posted to the original solicitation located at in amendment format. Deadline for submission of RFIs for this solicitation is April 17th , 2025. No questions will be answered after this date unless determined to be in the best interest of the Government as deemed by the Contracting Officer. Telephone requests for information will not be accepted nor returned. The magnitude of cost for this project is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. T *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. The Contractor shall furnish all necessary labor, tools, miscellaneous materials, equipment, and supervision as specified in drawings and specifications for the Clean Room LL101, Non-Hazardous Buffer Area LL101A, HAC LL101B, Ante Room LL102, and Hazardous Buffer Area LL102A. (Project No. 553-25-500), at the John D. Dingell VA Medical Center, Detroit, Michigan. The Contractor to provide and install ICRA barriers and meet VA ICRA requirements. Remove, prep, and replace the existing heat welded sheet flooring and coved borders with troweled polyurethane mortar system flooring located at the Lower-Level Pharmacy. Total floor area is approximately 766 S.F. which includes the Clean Room LL101, Non-Hazardous Buffer Area LL101A, HAC LL101B, Ante Room LL102, and Hazardous Buffer Area LL102A. The certified installation team will mechanically grind all accessible areas with dustless floor grinders. Prepare floor surface and install new flooring and integral 4" high cove per manufacturers specifications. Patch and paint all walls. Contractor is responsible for removing and reinstalling wall mounted items. Repairs shall include one or more of the following methods: o Patch and paint all walls. o Remove and reinstall wall mounted items. o Move I.V. hoods from rooms to temporary storage area. o Re-install hoods and recertify. o VA will move furniture, computers, phone, supplies, and movable equipment. o Thoroughly clean the area after floor installation. o VA EMS will terminally clean rooms before moving items back in and pharmacy use.
