The BRA desires to engage up to, but no more than, three (3) selected respondents who are qualified to manage a Trolley Stop program (hereinafter "selected Respondent") to participate in the Program in accordance with the objectives and requirements described within this RFP ("Services"). The Boston Redevelopment Authority ("BRA") d/b/a Boston Planning & Development Agency ("BPDA") is issuing a Request for Proposals, (hereinafter "RFP") for the Downtown Waterfront Trolley Kiosk Program (hereinafter, the "Program"). The awarded license will be for one (1) season starting on or about April 1, 2025 and running through March 31, 2026 (the "Initial Term"), with the BRA holding two (2) seasonal extension options that may be exercised at the sole discretion of the BRA. If exercised by the BRA, the first option term would begin April 1, 2026, and run through March 31, 2027 ("First Option Term"); if exercised by the BRA, the second option term would begin April 1, 2027 and run through March 31, 2028 (the "Second Option Term.") For the 2025 tourism season, the minimum License Fee payable to the BRA for use of the Downtown Waterfront Trolley Kiosk shall be Five-Thousand-Twohundred-Fifty Dollars ($5,250.00) per kiosk per month per selected respondent. The purpose of the Program is to operate in the Trolley Kiosks at Long and Commercial Wharves in the downtown waterfront urban renewal area in the City of Boston. The three (3) trolley kiosks that operated at Long Wharf for the 2025 season will each be made available to potential tenants. A Minority Business Enterprise or "MBE" is a certified firm that is owned, operated, and controlled by one or more individuals who are African American, Hispanic American, Native American, or Asian American who have at least 51% ownership of the firm. A Woman Business Enterprise or "WBE" is a certified firm that is owned, operated, and controlled by one or more women who have at least 51% ownership of the firm. Bid date notes: Fee proposals must be submitted under separate cover and in a sealed envelope. To be submitted, the RFP must be accompanied by a non-refundable bank check or money order, in the amount of Fifty Dollars ($50.00), made payable to the "Boston Redevelopment Authority". Absolutely no responses will be accepted after the due date and time. The RFP is issued by the BRA in accordance with its usual policies, procedures, provisions, and applicable regulations.
