Construction and renovation of approximately 1,500 square feet of existing clinical space within Building 2 to prepare the site for installation and operation of new cardiac catheterization laboratory equipment, including associated control and equipment rooms. Work includes selective demolition and removal of existing systems, finishes, and equipment; replacement, relocation, and modification of architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, lighting, medical gas systems, electrical boom arms, ceiling sterile air curtains, control room casework, wall outlets, and other supporting infrastructure. The project requires reconfiguration of partitions and doorways; installation of new architectural walls, doors, frames, hardware, ceilings, flooring, wall protection, and paint; and preparation for government-furnished cath lab equipment, including structural supports, utilities, shielding modifications, conduits, and interfaces. Hazardous materials abatement for asbestos, lead, and mold will be performed as identified, in compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations. All work must be executed in accordance with the contract drawings, specifications, and design narratives and performed within an occupied, fully operational clinical environment, requiring carefully phased construction, strict adherence to infection control risk assessment requirements, noise and vibration limits, and daily coordination to ensure uninterrupted medical services throughout the 210-day construction period.
