The yard is approximately rectangular shaped (220m by 150m in plan), presently includes a slab-on-grade Mechanical Workshop, Office (prefabricated structure) and sand/salt dome structure. The yard is asphaltic concrete paved, except the rear part which is landscape covered. A 1.5m to 2m high berm consisting of fill soils exists at the southwest corner of the Yard. The berm including the slope area was noted to be generally vegetated with grass and weeds.
