The existing system (for the purposes of this document) will be referred to as a he Existing System ; The existing system (for the purposes of this document) will be referred to as a "Multi-Strand wiring - Irrigation System" (also known as a "2-wire - Irrigation System"). The system, at one time, employed the use of; Time-Clock Controllers Decoders (for device identity purposes) Solenoid operated Valves All operated from a Central control location. Most of these devices with the exception of the Solenoid Operated Valves have become defunct and, are abandoned in place. The result is ; The system is currently operated by manually opening and closing of the control valves which, are located throughout the Campus grounds.Demolition : (Refer to the accompanying Plan view drawing for valve box locations) Disconnect all existing wiring currently running from valve box to valve box and/or from any previous clock locations out to, the valve boxes. Clip off the ends of and Bundle abandoned wiring by wrapping its ends W/electrical tape to signify it is abandoned. Disconnect, remove and dispose of any remaining Time Clock Control devices. Disconnect, remove and discard all "Decoders". Disconnect and remove all solenoid actuators (to be replaced W/ new actuators). All existing valves are to remain in place, in their respective valve boxes for reuse.
