Renovation of an educational facility in Burnaby, British Columbia. Design plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Shrum Science Centre (SSC) Renewal - Phase 1 Biology. Replacement/upgrade of the building envelope, mechanical and electrical systems, structural upgrades, addition of a fire suppression system and necessary code/accessibility improvements; Creation of more flexible spaces for collaborative learning and research; Improved spaces to enhance research and learning to meet current and future demands of faculty, researchers and students. TIMELINE: Design is underway. A request for proposal for architect/prime consultant services was awarded for the project. Timelines for tender and construction are undefined at this time. The project is anticipated to be completed in Fall 2031. Further update in fall 2026.
