A firm timeline for construction has not been established. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority (NFTA) owner and operator of the Niagara Falls International Airport (NFIA), invites interested Consultants to submit a technical proposal that have the requisite, demonstrable competence and experience in architectural and engineering services for the design, construction monitoring, and design support services during construction for the planned taxiway rehabilitation / extension entitled "NFIA - Taxiway D Realignment & Extension". Qualified firms both singly or in teams must have the requisite, demonstrated competence and experience in and a thorough knowledge of the required architectural and engineering services required for the Project. Estimate $850,000.00 Qualified firms must demonstrate service competency expertise in project design, agency coordination, procurement, construction administration, and commissioning. The project work requires full civil aviation runway and taxiway reconstruction engineering services including civil site plan development, soils/foundation engineering, utility design and coordination (power, storm sewer, communications, internet) and electrical (power distribution, communications including video surveillance). The goal of this project is to extend / realign Taxiway D with the planned extension of Runway 10-28 at the Niagara Falls International Airport's (NFIA). The project will also include pavement removal, a realignment of Taxiway D to runway 6-24, and wetland / storm water mitigation. The time of completion for the project is 225 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed. Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE) participation is required.
