New Artisan Lakes Elementary School Skanska USA Building, Inc. has been selected as the construction manager by the School District of Manatee County for the new construction of the Artisan Lakes Elementary School. The site location is on Buckeye Road in Palmetto, FL The project consists of a new 134,600 SF new building including a covered play area and central energy plant yard on a 20 acre site. The building bears on a shallow spread footing foundation with slabs on grade and a structural steel and masonry support system. The exterior wall has a brick veneer with a CMU supporting structure. Fenestration includes aluminum storefront and operable windows with hollow metal doors/frames/hardware. Interior items include plastic laminate cabinets, drywall, metal framing, floor finishes, painting, acoustical ceilings, acoustical wall panels, specialties, food service equipment and theatre equipment. The HVAC includes a four-pipe chilled water mechanical system. Electrical work includes gear, branch power, lighting, fire alarm, structured cable, intercom, public safety enhancement and audio-visual.
