EllisDon is the Construction Manager for the Toronto Waterfront Revitalization Corporation (TWRC) Port Lands Flood Protection Project (PLFP). EllisDon invites eligible companies, firms or joint ventures to submit proposals for RFP#20.3 - Road Construction (Villiers Street, Munitions Street & New Cherry South Driveway): The work to be performed under this contract involves the tasks required to complete the proposed granular placement, concrete flatworks, asphalt paving, landscaping, line markings and traffic signage. The scope of work is summarized by the following: 1. Villiers Street West This work consists of granular placement, curb installation, asphalt placement, fencing and landscaping to construct a turnaround on Villers West. The contractor is to provide traffic control for all construction traffic ingress and egress. 2. SWTF Parking Lot This works consists of granular placement, asphalt placement and landscaping to construct a new Storm Water Treatment Facility (SWTF) parking lot. Prior to topsoil placement fence post installation for the perimeter fence must be installed. The contractor is to schedule their work to allow for bollard installation adjacent the housekeeping pads to be installed by others. The contractor is to provide traffic control for all construction traffic ingress and egress. 3. Villiers Street East Cul De Sac This work consists of full depth placement of granular A & B, curb installation and asphalt placement to construct a new cul-de-sac on Villers Street East. The contractor is to provide traffic control for all construction traffic ingress and egress. Villers Street Restoration This work consists of granular A placement, asphalt placement & landscaping. The contractor is to provide traffic control for all construction traffic ingress and egress. 4. Munitions Street This work consists of granular A base placement, asphalt placement, curb installation, sidewalk placement and landscaping. The contractor is to provide traffic control for all construction traffic ingress and egress. 5. Cherry Street South Driveway This work consists of replacement of the existing curb, asphalt cycle path and asphalt driveway. The contractor is to provide traffic control for all construction traffic ingress and egress including diverting pedestrians and cyclists to the West sidewalk at the Polson Street intersection. The contractor will have full access to the driveway and construction traffic will be diverted to the Future Polson entrance as shown on the drawings. Once the contractor has started work, the work must proceed without delay until all the work is complete.
