Ref. #: 25-144B The Matanuska-Susitna Borough is requesting bids from qualified contractors to supply and install a new chain link fence around the new landfill entrance and road, along the western and southern perimeters. Question Deadline 03/19/2025 at 5:00 PM AKT Questions through Online Portal SCOPE OF WORK Phase I New Gates and Fencing for road 1. New fencing will be installed starting at the existing fence post located on the southwest corner of the Animal Control parcel west to the toe of the road and then parallel the road and stop at the caul-de-sac at the entrance approximately 2,560 feet all within the Landfill shown on the map as per Attachment #1. The fence fabric shall be six (6) feet in height 9 gauge with three strands of barbed wire as per the Chain Link Fence and Gates Specification. Attachment #2. 2. There will be two (2) gates installed to access the CLF 3. Gate 1 shall be a 15-foot double swing, complete with latches and three (3) strands of barbwire. 4. Gate 2 shall be a 15-foot double swing, complete with latches and three (3) strands of barbwire. 5.This scope must be completed by 6/30/25. Phase II New Gates and Fencing for Entrance 1. New fencing will be installed continuing from the caul-de-sac and extend around the perimeter of the entrance area to a post approximately 3,830 feet all within the Landfill shown on the map as per Attachment #3. The fence fabric shall be six (6) feet in height 9 gauge with three strands of barbed wire as per the Chain Link Fences and Gate Specifications. Attachment #2. 2. There will be two (2) gates installed to access the CLF. 3. Gate one (1) shall be a 15-foot double swing, complete with latches and three (3) strands of barbwire. 4. Gate two (2) shall be installed approximately 20 feet from the caul-de-sac, not to impede the entrance to the scale. 5. Gate two shall be a Structural Cantilever Slide Gate as manufactured by Tymetal Corp. or an approved equal. See Attachment #4. 6. An Automatic switch will be used to operate the gate; this will be used to operate the gate during operating hours, opening the gate at 8:00 AM and closing the gate at 5:00 PM. There will be an exit loop to open the gate upon departure from the landfill after hours 7. The gate will also come with 30 handheld openers. 8.This Scope must be Completed by 10/30/2025.
