Kane County seeks experienced excavation companies to submit proposals for the removal of unusable soil and dirt materials, including transportation to a designated location specified by Kane County, as part of a competitive bid process for the following project. The primary objective of this project is to remove as much material as possible within the constraints of Kane County's budget. The highest priority is to ensure that the slope of the hill to the north, where a new building is being constructed, is graded to a standard that eliminates the necessity for a retaining wall. This project will likely be executed in phases, with the initial phase focused on establishing the slope. Once the slope is properly graded, the remaining budget will be allocated to removing additional material from the hill as needed. The final grade of the site must be left in a clean and stable condition, ensuring proper drainage to prevent flooding of adjacent properties.
