Renovation of a water / sewer project in San Francisco, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

This Project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement of prevailing wage requirements by the California Department of Industrial Relations ("DIR") and the San Francisco Office of Labor Standards Enforcement. No contractor or subcontractor may be listed in a bid for a public works project and no contractor or subcontractor may be awarded a contract for public work on a public works project unless registered with the DIR per California Labor Code Section 1725.5 [with limited exceptions from this requirement for bid purposes only under California Labor Code Section 1771.1(a)]. The objective of the project is to address current overcrowding and code-compliance issues, while maintaining productive and safe operations at SEP. Health and safety improvements include, but are not limited to, means of egress, fall arrest/ protection, emergency lighting, signage, mitigation of trip hazards, and providing safe roof access. The work is to be performed in San Francisco, California. SFPUC has determined, in accordance with Cal. Public Contract Code 3400, that certain items are without equal - refer to Section 00 21 13 (Instructions to Bidders), "Questions on Bid Documents, Addenda, Substitutions." The Engineer's Estimate is $15,000,000. The City may award the contract to the responsible Bidder that submits the lowest responsive Bid.
