Reference Number 0000379364 Bid Intent Not Available The purpose of this Request for Proposal is to obtain responses from qualified manufacturer authorized roofing companies, for a Portable Building EPDM Roof Replacement, as specified herein. It is the intent of the District to evaluate and select a company to provide all labor, materials, equipment and additional services under the Terms, Conditions and Specifications that best meet the specifications and requirements as specified herein. SCOPE OF WORK & REQUIREMENTS The project entails the complete removal and replacement of the existing EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer) roofing system on a portable/modular building. The contractor shall be responsible for the following, including all permits, product, materials, labor, and equipment, tools, lift, rentals, and site protection, job cleanup, trash & hazardous material removal and disposal needed to complete the full Replacement/Installation: 1. State of Colorado permit. 2. Site assessment and measurement of the existing roof area to determine precise material requirements. 3. Safe removal and disposal of the current EPDM roofing material, including any damaged insulation or decking beneath. 4. Inspection of the underlying structure for any water damage or deterioration, with a report provided to the client detailing any issues found. 5. Repair or replacement of any damaged decking or structural components as necessary. 6. Installation of new 60-mil, EPDM roofing membrane, adhered or mechanically fastened as appropriate for the portable building structure. Roof measurement is 1536 sq. ft. 7. Install 3-layers of 2" x 6" wood nailer around whole perimeter secured down with screws to accommodate new insulation. o Install 2-layers of 2.6 Insulation. o Install manufacturers approved 1/4" or 1/2 " Primed Dens Deck mechanically attached with 3" plates @ 16 plates per 4'x8' Board. o As required by code for state permitting 8. Application of proper sealing and flashing around all roof penetrations, including vents, pipes, and HVAC units. 9. Installation of new drip edges, gutters, and downspouts as required to ensure proper water drainage. 10. Application of a reflective coating to the EPDM surface if specified, to enhance energy efficiency and UV protection. 11. Thorough clean-up of the work area, including the removal of all debris and materials related to the roofing project. 12. Warranty information covering both materials and workmanship for a specified period. 13. Compliance with all relevant local building codes and regulations pertaining to roofing installation on portable/modular structures. 14. Implementation of appropriate safety measures throughout the project, including the use of fall protection systems and proper handling of materials.
