Under the provision of N.J.A.C. 40:11-13(d) benefit of the public and is in the best interest of the municipality, Resolution 25-056 the Township of Franklin is seeking proposals for a Flock gunshot detection system (GDS) technology along with License Plate Reader (LPR) technology and video surveillance (VS) as one service. The Police Department will utilize LPR, GDS, VS, and real-time intelligence as a critical component of the Franklin Township Police Department’s comprehensive gun violence reduction strategy. The LPR, GDS, and VS system is to include hardware/devices, hosting services, software, implementation, training, custom reports, professional services, and ongoing maintenance and technical support to provide coverage for defined Gunshot Detection Zone(s), strategic locations for LPR cameras and video surveillance. The Township wishes to obtain and implement along with training from Flock Safety. TERM: The award of this contract shall be for a term of two (2) years or when the not-to-exceed amount limitations have been met, effective from date of award by resolution of Township Council.
