Site work and paving for a bridge / tunnel in Onalaska, Washington. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.

The contracted work will involve removing the existing barrier culverts, installing geotextile wrapped riprap abutments, excavating a new channel through the road prism, installing a 26' x 14' prefabricated steel bridge (provided), replacing a pressurized 1-1/4" water line, constructing new bridge approaches, installing gravel surfacing, and applying seed and mulch to all disturbed soils. No excavation spoils will be wasted or deposited within a 100-year floodplain. MAJOR BID ITEMS will include: Mobilization - LS, Dewater and Work Site Isolation - LS, Excavation, Haul and Disposal - 150 CY, Geotextile for Soil Separation, Abutments - 55 SY, Light Loose Riprap, Abutments - 30 CY, Gravel Leveling Course - 5 CY, Install Bridge (Provided) - LS, Utilities - LS, Install Bridge (Provided) - LS, Geotextile for Soil Separation, Approaches - 120 SY, Gravel Borrow Import, Backfill and Compaction - 50 CY, Gravel Surfacing - 40 CY, Seed and Mulch - 0.25 AC, Project Cleanup - LS, Minor Change - $1000 T&M, and other items in conformance with the 2024 WSDOT Standard Specifications incl. the APWA Supplement, and the Special Provisions for this project. (Engineers Estimate $40,000) This project is funded by a grant from the Aquatic Species Restoration Program and the Salmon Recovery Funding Board, which are administered by The Washington Recreation and Conservation Office. Washington State prevailing wage provisions apply to this project and the contractor will be required to file a Statement of Intent to Pay Prevailing Wages to Department of Labor and Industries, as well as Affidavit of Wages Paid. The District will not make final payment until they receive evidence that the Affidavit form has been certified by L&I. Event bid note: opening, and then delivered to the Lewis Conservation District Manager on or before the day and hour of the above-mentioned bid opening.
