The Town of Hillsborough is soliciting proposals from qualified vendors for professional engineering services to perform the following for the design and replacement of an existing approximately 1,400-gallons-per-minute duplex wastewater pumping station, incoming gravity sewer and 10-inch force main: Confirm design conditions Conduct preliminary evaluations, environmental review, geotechnical exploration, subsurface utility exploration and surveying Prepare complete design plans, calculations and specifications Assist with easement acquisition Prepare permit applications and permit installation Bid and award service Construction administration and observation (if authorized) Record drawings completion and project closeout This pumping station and force main, labeled as the Elizabeth Brady Pump Station (PS) and Force Main (FM) in the attached Appendix A, must be upgraded to serve growth in Hillsborough's service area at least through 2040 and beyond. The force main will discharge at the town's wastewater treatment plant on Elizabeth Brady Road. The town has a hydraulic model of its collection system, pumping stations and force mains. There is some more recent flow data from a flow meter placed at an upstream manhole from the station.
