Site work for a civil project in Saint Louis, Missouri. Working plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Location: The City of Kirkwood in Kirkwood Park Voters in both the city of St. Louis and St. Louis County passed proposal W that was on the ballot April 2, 2024, for the bond issue for the Project Clear program. There are approximately 3 dozen projects involved; most have been completed. As part of a long-term effort to reduce basement backups and sewer overflows, MSD Project Clear is designing a project to install approximately 1,950 feet of wastewater sewers in the city of Kirkwood. This project is estimated to begin construction in fall of 2025. MSD Project Clear is investing approximately $1.5 million to install wastewater pipes in the city of Kirkwood. The goal is to reduce basement backups and sewer overflows, which occur when the sewers become overloaded during intense rainfall. This is the current tentative project schedule. This is subject to change based on a variety of factors including weather. Complete project design: Fall 2023 Easement acquisition completion: Fall 2024 Estimated construction start: Fall 2025 Estimated project duration: 1 year As of March 12, 2025, project is on-going and done in-house. This project is estimated to begin construction in the fall of 2025 and finish in fall 2026.
