Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Bellingham, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

Roadway improvements include 6,360 feet milling & HMA paving, 2,635 feet HMA leveling & overlay, 2,270 feet removal of old pavement & HMA paving, minor ADA sidewalk and ramp improvements, speed hump construction, minor drainage improvements, and appurtenant work. A 5% bid bond is required and must be submitted with the bids. The successful Bidder will be required to provide 100% payment and performance bonds, prior to being awarded the contract. Only contractors that are prequalified to perform work class of PAVEMENT-SURFACING for an estimated project value of $2,348,831.83 are eligible to bid on this project. MassDOT issues the list of contractors meeting this requirement up to the day of the bid opening. Only contractors listed on the MassDOT prequalification list or waiver list will be allowed to submit Official Bid Forms. Any bidders that are NOT on the MassDOT Prequalification or Waiver lists, issued the day of the bid opening, will be consider INELIGIBLE to submit a bid on this project. Firms must be able to supply insurance certificates indicating coverage as noted in the bid documents and the contractor will be required to sign an indemnity agreement prior to award of work under this bid. All labor performing work on this contract must be paid in accordance with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts approved wage scales.
