A. Furnish all labor, equipment, materials and incidentals necessary to provide services and perform operations required to fragment rock and boulders utilizing controlled, nonexplosive techniques such as ripping, hoe ramming, wedging, sledging, barring and/or splitting such that damage is prevented to adjacent pipes, structures, property and work and such that resulting ground vibrations are consistently maintained below the maximum levels specified in this Section. B. Conduct a pre-work condition survey of existing structures near the proposed construction. C. Conduct continuous vibration monitoring during the conduct of construction utilizing the vibration monitoring procedures and equipment specified in this Section, and as specified elsewhere. D. Special details and procedures related to rock excavation are included in the special conditions. The Boston Water and Sewer Commission by its Executive Director invites sealed bids for CONTRACT # 24-308-001 REPLACEMENT OF WATER PIPES IN CITY PROPER Bids must be accompanied by a bid deposit, certified check, treasurers or cashier's check, or in the form of a bid bond in the amount of 5% OF BID payable to and to become the property of the Commission if the bid, after acceptance, is not carried out. In addition, a performance bond and also a labor and materials payment bond, each of a surety company qualified to do business under the laws of the Common-wealth and satisfactory to the Executive Director, and each in the sum of 100% OF THE CONTRACT PRICE, must be submitted within the time specified in the Contract document.
