Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Martinez, California. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
General work description: The work to be done generally consists of cold planning and placing an HMA overlay of various roads in the Walnut Creek Area. Work includes, removing existing curb and sidewalk, and placing concrete curb ramps in compliance with the American with Disabilities Act, setting survey monuments and placement of thermoplastic traffic stripes and markings. Engineer's cost estimate: $2,882,000 Number of Working Days: 65 You are required to subcontract a minimum of 25% of your bid in accordance with the Mandatory Subcontracting Minimum requirements within these special provisions. The Public Works Department does not guarantee the arrival of the plans and specifications in time for bidding. This project is to be advertised pursuant to Public Contract Code 22037. This contract is subject to state contract nondiscrimination and compliance requirements pursuant to Government Code, Section 12990. The Contractor must possess a valid Class A or Class C-12 License at the time the Contract is awarded. Prior to submitting a bid, the Contractor and subcontractors must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations and qualified to perform public work pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5, subject to limited legal exceptions under Labor Code section 1771.1. This contract will be subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1771.4. Bids must cover the entire project, and neither partial nor contingent bids will be considered. The successful bidder must furnish a payment bond and a performance bond. Question Deadline 04/10/2025 at 12:00 PM PT All bidder questions/inquiries received the Thursday prior to the scheduled bid opening will be posted with their responses electronically. Questions received after this deadline will remain unanswered.
