Site work and paving for a civil project in Kountze, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.

The Project provides for roadway improvements on Old Sour Lake Road - South, Old Sour Lake Road - North, Pine Lane, and Brown Road within Hardin County, Texas measuring approximately 15,855 linear feet of roadway. The scope of work includes, but not limited to: 1. Mobilization 2. Removal of existing road surface 3. Placement of 6" crushed limestone base 4. Application of lime treatment (7%) 5. Application of cement treatment (6%) 6. Placement of prime coat 7. Placement of a 1.5" hot-mix asphalt concrete (HMAC) 8. Construct driveway turnouts 9. Remove and replace culverts 10. Barricades, signs and traffic handling A bid bond in the amount of 5 percent of the bid issued by an acceptable surety shall be submitted with each bid. A certified check or bank draft payable to Hardin County, Texas or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (as par value) may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond. All contractors and subcontractors must be cleared (not suspended or debarred) prior to any formal action authorizing the award of a contract to the contractor. Minority Business Enterprises, Small Business Enterprises, Women Business Enterprises, Section 3 Businesses, and labor surplus area firms are encouraged to submit bids. Hardin County, Texasreserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by Hardin County, Texas for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidder's qualifications prior to the contract award. Each request for clarification shall be made in writing to the County or Engineer no less than seven (7) days prior to the bid opening.
