Renovation of a municipal facility in Madison, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

Fire Sprinkler Replacement Minority-Owned, Woman-Owned, and Small Business Enterprises are encouraged to respond to this solicitation. A. This section applies to all Division 21 sections. B. Comply with requirements of State of Wisconsin, IBC, NFPA Standards and local Fire Chief or Fire Marshal (AHJ, Authority Having Jurisdiction) regarding design, materials and installation. C. Prepare engineering drawings and submit to Authority Having Jurisdiction for plan review, pay all plan review fees. D. Obtain and pay for all required State or local installation inspections except those provided by the Architect/Engineer in accordance with City of Madison and State of Wisconsin. Deliver originals of these certificates to the Owners construction representative. Include copies of the certificates in the Operating and Maintenance Instructions. E. Contractor is responsible for final design and permitting. 1. Plans may indicate Hazard categories and other information. Contractor is required to be knowledgeable about those categories and apply a different category if code and/or JHA requires. 2. Plans may show sprinkler heads and other equipment. This is done for coordination with other trades and for architectural reasons. This contractor shall adjust actual number and location of devices as required by code or JHA, while meeting all coordination and aesthetic requirements. 3. Include all required supervisory switches F. Extensions or modifications to existing sprinkler systems shall include all required equipment and modifications required to meet all code and project requirements. This includes but is not limited to upsizing and addition of pipes, addition or replacement of sprinklers etc. G. Existing systems shall maintain its function until new system is operational. For intermediate fire protection, temporary system elements shall be provided in accordance with AHJ.
