Site work for a bridge / tunnel in Staplehurst, Nebraska. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel.
**As of April 17, 2025, the project was awarded to JJK Construction, LLC, with an awarded amount of $137,806.74.** The project is referred to as "Seward North, C008011235 Deck Replacement" and shall include all labor, materials, transportation and equipment required for the construction of bridge re-decking and other related incidental work. Along with its Bid Proposal, each bidder shall submit an unconditional Bid Bond or Certified Check made payable to the County Treasurer of Seward County, Nebraska, in an amount equal to five (5) percent of the Bid Proposal. Also, each bidder is to include an estimated start of construction and completion date with their Bid Proposal. The desired completion date is October 01, 2025. The successful bidder (i.e. Contractor) will be allowed Forty (40) calendar days for completion after beginning work, provided they do not exceed their specified completion date. Additional days due to weather may be granted at the discretion of the Engineer. Within ten (10) days following the award of the Contract, the successful bidder shall furnish a surety bond or bonds in an amount equal to or greater than the full amount of the contract. The surety and form of the bonds are subject to the acceptance by the Seward County Board of Commissioners. The Seward County Board of Commissioners reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive any irregularities in bids received.
