The City of Okmulgee is taking bids for the mowing, clearing, and cleaning of privately owned lots throughout the city. It is estimated that as many as 400 lots may be identified; however, no warranty can be given as to the actual number of lots to be mowed as the number is an approximation based on preceding years and may include more than one mowing for some properties listed. Each bidder is required to quote a price for "mowing only" and separate prices for lots with accumulations of brush, debris, rubbish, & litter as defined in the general instructions. The City of Okmulgee will require all bidders to present evidence of current insurance coverage (i.e. Worker's Compensation and Public Liability) and that the City of Okmulgee and The Okmulgee Municipal Authority are named as insured parties. In lieu of an insurance policy in place, the City will accept an appropriate binder from an insurance company that such insurance can be obtained by the bidder and produced with the sealed bid. They may be picked up in the Community Development Department between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. weekdays (Closed 12:00-1:00 p.m. for lunch) or online at OKMULGEEONLINE.COM. All bids and supporting documentation must be submitted in a sealed envelope marked Mowing of Individual Lots, Bidder's Name and/or Business Name to the Community Development Department. The City of Okmulgee invites you to bid on a General Contract for mowing, clearing, and cleaning of privately owned lots throughout the City. All Bids shall be on a lump sum basis; segregated bids shall not be accepted. shall be defined as the person, company corporation, and/or group submitting a bid proposal for consideration. Contractor - shall be defined as the successful bidder. All proposals shall comply with the requirements of the Bid Documents, which include The Invitation to Bid, General Instructions, Instructions to Bidders, Form of Proposal, Non-discrimination Certificate, Non-collusion Affidavit, Supplemental Conditions, Summary of Work, Reference list, Equipment List, and any Addenda. All proposals shall be good for 60 days after the bid date. Proposals shall be on a lump sum basis for all work indicated in the Bid Documents. This proposal shall include all Labor, materials, and equipment necessary to perform all work. Should a Bidder find discrepancies in or omissions from the Bid Documents, or be in doubt as to their meaning, he must notify and request a clarification from the City in writing or ask questions. It is agreed that work performed under this Contract shall commence when the Contractor has been awarded the Contract and the Contract Agreement has been fully executed. The Contractor agrees work shall be performed regularly, diligently, and uninterrupted at such a rate as to insure continuous progress. It is expressly agreed that the time for completion of each portion of work as assigned is a reasonable time, considering average climatic range and conditions prevailing in the region of the project. Includes all material, Labor, tools, equipment, transportation services and all incidental items necessary to perform and complete all of the work required as specified herein. Bids will be scheduled to be awarded by the City Council at its next regularly scheduled meeting. The City of Okmulgee reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities it deems appropriate. The City reserves the right to waive irregularities and to reject any and/or all Bids.
