Union County, North Carolina, through Union County Water, is soliciting proposals from experienced and qualified firms to provide Pump and Motor Repair Services. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Proposal Documents are to be submitted in writing to the Procurement contact person listed on the cover page (corey.brooks@unioncountync.gov). The deadline for questions is March 19, 2025, at 5:00 PM EST. THE SCOPE OF WORK SHALL CONSIST OF THE FOLLOWING: o Removing/re-installing pumps, motors, etc. o Most pumps are submersible and centrifugal. o Some horizontal, split case and multistage vertical turbine pump. o All motors are AC, most are 480 volts, some are inverter duty. o Belt driven blowers and turblex blowers need to be serviced and rebuilt. o Repairing/rebuilding pumps o Repairing/rewinding of motors o Transport to the vendors shop and return delivery to the affected site if required o And other repairs, maintenance, or tasks deemed necessary by Union County Public Works Staff o All applicable inspections must be completed prior to delivery of repaired equipment, i.e. UL listing or any other applicable certification o Provide detailed quote for repair scope within one (1) week of receipt of pump/motor o Repairs to be completed within one (1) week of procurement of material needed to affect necessary repairs. If more time is needed for the repair the vendor must notify Union County Public Works Staff o New Power and Control cables shall be added with every repair if applicable o The repair service shall be, unless otherwise stated in the service of the purchase order, in accordance with the methods and procedures of the manufacturer's operational maintenance and repair manuals. o Service Provider must be UL Certified o Provide a List of Manufacturers for which you are a dedicated/regional source o The warranty for services performed shall be guaranteed by the Service Provider for a period no less than six (6) calendar months against defects in material and workmanship, for the date of receipt at acceptance of repaired unit. The Service Provider (s) shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, tools, services, supervision and incidentals required to complete the work as directed by Union County Staff and specified herein. All projects will meet the North Carolina State Statues, and no single project issued via this RFP will exceed $30,000.00
