Muskegon State Park Sand Relocation and Snow Fence Removal bid for furnishing labor, material, supplies and equipment to complete the project detailed on the Proposal and Contract Form and any attached specifications. The State reserves the right to award to the responsive and responsible bidder offering the best value to the State. Best value consideration may include the quality of service to be provided, conformity with specifications, or suitability to the requirements of the State, or to reject any and all bids in whole or in part if the best interest of the State will be served. Maps attached: YES Park Specification for Snow Fence removal: Snow fence must be removed in a manner that will minimize damage to the fence and posts to preserve it ofor future use. All fence material is to be rolled in tight rolls not to exceed 50 feet in length. oFence posts must be removed in such a manner to prevent bending and distorting. oAll materials used to attach fence to posts and fence to fence are to be removed from the beach by the ocontractor. Fence and posts are to be stacked in a central location or on a trailer provided by the park in the proximity oof the job site as designated by the Park Supervisor or his representative. Park Specifications for Sand Removal: Remove all sand accumulations from between the parking lots, from paved roadways, from paved parking olots, from around the beach building and sidewalks, from the east shoulder of the park road, and from both sides of the park road north and south of the parking lot a distance to be established by the Park Supervisor. The shoulders of the park road and the north and south ends of the parking lots are to be cleared a minimumo of 12 feet but not more than 15 feet from the paved edge on a level grade even with the road surface. Sand areas located between concrete surfaces or roads and parking lots must be excavated and finished to ao grade no higher than the surrounding paved surfaces. Sand must be removed from around all steps and sidewalks associated with the beach house. Final grades ino the proximity of the bathhouse are to be determined by the Park Supervisor or his representative and are to be semi-finish grade. All sand that has been removed shall be deposited and rough graded on the beach or low areas in the parking olot medians or the building. Grading on the beach is to be a gradual slope from the parking lot edge to the water's edge of Lake Michigan oas determined by the Park Supervisor or his representative. A grade of 5% or less, 12' width by 250' length, shall be rough graded on the west side of the beach building ofor installation of an ADA decking down to the beach. Tracked vehicles are not allowed on any paced surfaces without prior approval of Park Supervisor. Protection ofor these surfaces will be required if tracked vehicles need to pass over them. Under no circumstances will sand be deposited into the water. oAny damage to park property shall be reported to the Park Supervisor immediately. oContractor to coordinate date and time of sand removal around fence with Park Manager/Supervisor. oTO BID FOR THIS WORK, SUBMIT A PROPOSAL FOLLOWING THE INSTRUCTIONS BELOW. 1)Complete the "bidder's" portion. 2)DO NOT change the bid form or qualify the bid. Only bid on the contract as written. If the bidder wishes to alter the bid price, it may be done by submitting the amount of change (addition or reduction) as a revision to the original bid by the bid opening time. 3)Bid prices must be valid for sixty days from the bid due date. 4)EMAIL completed bid documents and certificate of liability insurance to CrozierGreenL@michigan.gov no later than the date and time specified above. 5)Bidders are responsible for ensuring bids are received on time.6)The Michigan DNR is not responsible for receipt of bids not delivered to the correct party by the due date and time.
