For prospective vendors to take final measurements and assess building structures. The bid price must be valid for a period of sixty (60) days beginning on the date the winning bidder is notified. The bid price must include the costs for delivery and installation including trim, hardware, and locks. A list of doors with approximate sizes is listed below and any further questions can be directed to Mr. Chad Williams, Maintenance Supervisor, at (205) 921-3191. Door sizing and all measurements are the responsibility of the bidder during the pre-bid meeting. Door brands and door construction specifications must be pre-approved by Marion County prior to bidding. Bids for non-preapproved doors will not be accepted. The results of the bid will be presented to the Marion County Board of Education at its next scheduled meeting for action. The Marion County Board of Education reserves the right to reject any and all bids or parts of bids. Payment will be through normal Board payment procedures. Invoice terms are to be Net 20 days from the date of satisfactory installation as determined by the Marion County Board of Education. Late bids will not be opened. MCBE is not responsible for bids lost in the mail. No bid bond shall be required for this bid. Time allotted for completion is 100 days from award. SCHOOL SECURTIY REQUIREMENTS: All visitors must report to the Principal's Office upon arrival to campus.
