Site work for a bridge / tunnel in Georgetown, New York. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel.
The Owner is the Town of Georgetown and the work site is located in the Town of Georgetown, Madison County, New York. The project is located approximately 400 feet south of the intersection of Wilcox Road and NYS Route 80. The projects limits extend from 125 feet south to 100 feet north of the existing culvert. The work includes providing all labor, materials, machinery, tools, equipment and other means of construction necessary and incidental to the completion of the work shown on the Plans and described in these Specifications including, but not necessarily limited to the following: Remove and replace the existing Wilcox Road culvert and reconstruct approximately 200 of approach roadway to tie the structure into the adjacent highway. This is a State Aid Project and NYSDOT Standard Specifications, officially finalized and adopted on January 1st, 2025 as posted on the New York State Department of Transportation's website must be followed by the successful Bidder. There is no DBE goal for this project. The SDVOB goal for this project is 6% The work under Contract No. D040973 for the Replacement of Wilcox Road Culvert over Middle Branch Tioughnioga Creek is located approximately 400 feet south of the intersection of Wilcox Road and NYS Route 80 in the Town of Georgetown, Madison County, New York DESCRIPTION OF THE WORK A. The items of work under D040973 include, but are not necessarily limited to the following: 1. The project includes replacing the existing structure carrying Wilcox Road over Middle Branch Tioughnioga Creek. The new structure will consist of a precast concrete box culvert with cast-in-place concrete wingwalls supported on spread footings. Approximately 200 linear feet of full-depth approach reconstruction will be required to tie the proposed structure into the adjacent highway sections. Traffic will be maintained through an onsite detour with temporary detour structure. The MBE and WBE goals for this project are 10% and 15%, respectively. The EEO Employment goals for this project are: 3.8% Minority Employment Goal 6.9% Women Employment Goal Question Deadline 03/24/2025 Questions regarding the Contract Documents should be directed to Bryan Tremblay, Barton & Loguidice, D.P.C. either through email at: btremblay@bartonandloguidice.com or by telephone at 315-457-5200. Bidders shall promptly notify Bryan Tremblay of any errors, omissions, conflicts or ambiguity within the Contract Documents within 7 days of bid opening. All bids must include the materials in Division 00 03 and 00 04. This is a unit price bid as described in the Information For Bidders. No Bidder may withdraw his/her bid within forty-five (45) calendar days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Each bid must be accompanied by security in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid in the form and subject to the conditions provided in the Information For Bidders. Bids will not be accepted from Bidder's determined to be a "Non-Responsible Entity" by the New York State Office of General Services. This Project is a "Covered Project" under New York State Labor Law 220-I and the Bidder must hold a valid Certificate of Registration from the New York State Department of Labor to submit a Bid and at all times for the duration of the Work. Bids will not be accepted from Bidders that have not registered or that have been barred from competing on public works under General Municipal Law 5A-103-b. The Town of Georgetown reserves the right to consider the bids for forty-five (45) days after receipt before awarding any contract, and to waive any minor informalities in, and to reject, any and all bids. All bids are subject to final review and approval by the Town of Georgetown Board of Legislatures before any award of contract may be made. Receipt of bids by the Town of Georgetown shall not be construed as authority to bind the Municipality. The work will be substantially completed within 18 calendar weeks from mobilization and completed and ready for final payment by May 31, 2026.
